The beloved trio the Three Stooges are back thanks to the imagination of the Farrelly Brothers who gave us hits like Dumb & Dumber, Something about Mary and more. They bring back the serialized comedy of the Three Stooges and kick it on to the big screen. Moe (Chris Diamantopoulos), Larry (Sean Hayes) and Curley (Will Sasso) group up together after being left on an orphanage door step. Through the years their bond strengthens as the nerves of the orphanage nun’s fray and snap. All is as it should be until the news of the orphanage closing reaches the boys. Determined to raise $830,000 and save their home, they set off to raise a ruckus and create massive property damage.

This movie is a fun idea with disastrous results. Set in the present with cameos from "talent" like Jersey Shore cast members only makes the end result sadder. The massive violence is funny at first, but becomes tiring as the story lets down. The only light in this movie is the casting. The Stooges in child and adult form are spot on and really help when stepping into the stooge world. In the end though, this movie should have been a bunch of mini-shorts as opposed to a long form movie. The one demographic that will like it though is kids because the stooges are essentially violent clowns punching, kicking and twisting in hopes of a chuckle. As a side note, I am a huge fan of the original Three Stooges serials and recommend them to anyone looking for classic fun.
