(WFLA) Governor Rick Scott is in the middle of a legal battle with the United States government over his attempt to purge the state's voter rolls.
Scott is pushing for the state to identify and remove non-U.S. citizens from the rolls.
In addition to non-citizens appearing on voter rolls in the state, last month it was revealed that more than 53, 000 voters who had passed away were still on the voter rolls.
Governor Scott, talking with AM Tampa Bay on Newsradio 970 WFLA Thursday morning, says that he too was once a victim of Florida's haphazard elections process when he was told that he was not able to vote:
